Poker hands from highest to lowest 1. Royal flush A, K, Q, J, 10, all the same suit. Straight flush Five cards in a sequence, all in the same suit. In poker, players form sets of five playing cards, called hands, according to the rules of the game. Each hand has a rank, which is compared against the ranks of other hands participating in the showdown to decide who wins the pot.

If you're playing on a particularly tight table you should raise more in mid and late position than the chart suggests. Whereas if you're playing on an aggressive table it might be worth waiting and picking your spots a little more carefully.
